Today was a busy day, I went on another road trip (#3) this morning. I drove a construction style low-boy trailer towed by a super-10 tractor today. The Instructor was a peddle to the metal trucker. We followed all speed signs, but some of the back roads do not have speed signs, so 55mph was the speed we drove at. The Instructor was great at assisting me with my timing, shifting, and taking turns at intersections. Today, I had a great ride.
After my ride, I had classroom lab time. We discussed driver and load safety, as well as the Commercial Driving industry as a whole. After lunch, our team was back out on the yard practicing C-side backing. After considerable trying, the light bulb clicked on and I got it. There are now 2 of 4 drivers on our team that have conquered the C-side backing. One other is close, and unfortunately, one team member is still struggling. Tomorrow is Friday, I have had a full week, and am glad to be going home.
Best Regards,
Don
